Dr Singh holds his M.A., LL.B., M.Phil, Ph.D. Dr Singh has rich experience of teaching and research, worked on developmental projects with Women's Studies and Development Centre, University of Delhi and with Centre for Development Studies and Action, a New Delhi based NGO.

He has been awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship. He also won School of International Studies, JNU fellowship for field trip to United States while pursing doctoral studies. He has presented papers at national seminars including "Technological Advances and TRIPS" at the international seminar on Human Rights to Health, TRIPS and its impact on Pharmaceuticals Industry in India, organised by NLIU and Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. His teaching interests include History, Political Science, Human Rights and Juvenile Delinquency.
