Mr. Komal is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in reputed academic and research institutions, including Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar; Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad (Department of Space Science); and Indore Management Institute. He is a Life Member of the Indian Library Association (ILA) and holds expertise in modern library automation systems, particularly the Koha Library Management System.

 DSpace@PRL(Md Nurul Alam and Komal Patel) Thaltej Library has taken an initiative to develop an Archival System- DSpace@PRL using DSpace in view of the mandate of Antriksh Gyan, ISRO Consortium and Open-Source Software movement. It serves to identify, collect, store and facilitate retrieval of the intellectual output of Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad (Dept. of Space Science). To pay tribute to the founder of our Institute in his birth centenary year, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s Collection VIKRAM@ संचयन has been created to begin with.
