Dr. Baljeet Singh
Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports
Dr. Baljeet Singh is currently serving as Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal. With over a decade of experience in higher education and sports administration, he has made significant contributions to the development of university-level sports culture and athletic excellence.
Dr. Singh began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Jiwaji University before joining NLIU as a Physical Instructor in 2016. In December 2022, he was appointed Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports under the UGC Regulations 2018 academic scale.
A specialist in Athletics, Dr. Singh has actively coached and managed university teams in Boxing, Judo, Athletics, Chess, Baseball, Cross Country, and other disciplines at the All India Intervarsity level. Under his supervision, NLIU’s flagship annual sports fest “VIRUDHAKA” has grown into a prestigious national event, witnessing participation from National Law Universities across India.
His academic interests lie in Sports Medicine, Sports Biomechanics, and Performance Analysis. He has published research papers in reputed journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences.
Beyond academics and coaching, Dr. Singh is actively involved in administrative responsibilities, student welfare initiatives, and community outreach programs, including youth development and sports promotion in tribal and underprivileged areas. His commitment to holistic physical education continues to inspire students to pursue excellence in sports and fitness.
