Jus Cultura is the Debating, Quizzing, and Literary Cell of the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal. It strives to foster a vibrant intellectual culture on campus by organizing a range of events that promote literature, quizzing, and debating.

Activities Report 2024

Literary Society:

  1. Open Mic at Tattv Café (8 March 2024): A successful evening of poetry, stories, and music at Tattv Café, providing a platform for students to express their creativity.

2. Reader’s Rendezvous Book Club Meetings: Three engaging book discussions on ‘Palace of Illusions,’ ‘The Silent Patient,’ and ‘Britt Marie Was Here,’ fostering lively and reflective conversations.

3. Lohri Celebration (14 January 2024): A collaborative event with Athena, featuring soulful performances and a vibrant jamming session, celebrating creativity and community spirit.

4. Quilldum(p) Blog: A platform for heartfelt and diverse literary write-ups, reflecting the creative voices within the society.

5.Weekly Book Recommendations: A series of weekly book suggestions catering to varied reading tastes, sparking curiosity and enriching the community’s reading experiences.

Quizzing Society:

  1. Incredible India Quiz (16 January 2024): In collaboration with the SBA, this quiz celebrated Swami Vivekananda’s 161st Jayanti by exploring India’s rich heritage and culture.
  2. The Justice Quest (28 January 2024): In partnership with NLIU LAC, this quiz marked the 74th Anniversary of the Supreme Court, covering its history, landmark judgments, and notable legal figures.
  3. Inclusivity Quotient Quiz (4 April 2024): Collaborating with INARA, this quiz promoted diversity and inclusivity, challenging participants on topics of equality and social justice.
  4. Sports Quiz (25 January 2024): Part of the Fit India Week, this quiz, organized with the Sports Committee, celebrated sports knowledge and camaraderie among students.
  5. Exclusive Member Quizzes: Various quizzes focused on India’s history and culture, held exclusively for Quizzing Society members.

Debating Society:

  1. Practice Debates: Regular sessions on a wide range of topics, enhancing members’ argumentation, critical thinking, and persuasive communication skills through intellectually stimulating debates
