Ms. Surbhi Tiwari serves as an Assistant Professor at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal (2023 – present), with over 6 years of teaching experience across prestigious institutions, she specialises in core subjects such as Political Theory, International Relations, and Political Obligation.

Before joining NLIU, she worked at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal (2021 – 2023). Ms. Surbhi began her professional teaching journey at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (2019), handling key subjects such as Political Theory, International Relations, Introduction to Political Science and Parliament: Practice and Procedure and Public Administration.

She is pursuing her Ph.D., with a research focus on ‘Impact of Digitalisation on Elections’. The doctoral work is particularly relevant in the current era of digital transformation, exploring how technology, social media, and digital platforms are reshaping the democratic process and electoral behaviour in India. She is a gold medallist in postgraduate studies and a first-rank holder at the undergraduate studies from Sarojini Naidu Government Girls PG College. Her academic achievements include the UGC NET Scholarship for Merit and the Prof. Rajendra Jain Award for Economics.

She is a member of the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA) since 2023. IPSA, as a platform, allows her to collaborate with experts and bring innovative ideas into her teaching and research.
