Krishan Mahajan is a distinguished legal professional, academician, researcher and former Supreme Court administrator with extensive experience in litigation, mediation, arbitration, legislative drafting, legal research and teaching. He has practiced before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, tribunals and other judicial forums and has served as Senior Panel Counsel for the Union Government.

He has taught Constitutional Law, International Trade Law, Banking Law, Legislative Drafting, Environmental Law and other subjects at leading institutions including the Indian Law Institute, NLU Odisha and RGNUL, Patiala. He also served as Additional Registrar and Controlling Officer at the Supreme Court’s Centre for Research & Planning.

His professional work includes significant contributions to human rights, disability law, environmental protection, access to justice and legal education. He has authored numerous books, research papers and articles and has been associated with several national and international fellowships and academic initiatives. He holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, New York, as a Sterne Fellow, and a Ph.D. in Cultural Law.
