As Gender Justice Cell at National Law Institute University, Bhopal, our vision is to facilitate the intersection of aspects of gender studies with law in a manner that is in line with the basic rights of an individual. Gender Studies is a wide ranging subject that explores how the whole spectrum of gender is constructed
The cell endeavors to promote gender equality and to raise concerns regarding acts of injustice perpetuated against women, men and LGBTQ. The cell also aim to provide a stage and a voice to the communities whose opinions or thoughts may have been overlooked, neglected or rejected due to any false prejudices that the society may have against them; this goal have been achieved in the paste through various seminar and programs such as:
-We the Women in collaboration with the Media Cell, NLIU
-Seminar on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2013 conducted by Ms. UjwalaKadredkar
-Conducting a Self Defence Workshop in collaboration with the Bhopal District Karate Association and Mr. Sanjay Thawait
We hope to continue with working with the same effort and do much more to fulfil our vision in 2019-20!
