The National Law Institute University, Bhopal and IIT, Indore have signed MoU to start a two year MS in Cyber Security and Cyber Law Program in hybrid mode, in a move aimed at advancing techno-legal education in central India. Under this agreement, both institutions will jointly offer this techno-legal master’s program. The program will be offered in online mode with campus immersion for a defined period of time.
Prof. (Dr.) S. Surya Prakash, Vice Chancellor on behalf of NLIU, Bhopal and Prof. (Dr.) Suhash Joshi, Director, on behalf of IIT Indore signed the MoU. Prof. Atul Kumar Pandey, Dean, Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Devendra Deshmukh, Dean-Outreach, IIT Indore, Lt. Col. Manish Bahuguna and Mr. Rohit Sharma, Deputy Registrar, NLIU also attended the Ceremony.
Under this agreement, both institutions will establish dedicated virtual studios and physical assets to conduct collaborative teaching and research on techno-legal aspects. Students will benefit from cross-institutional learning opportunities, including access to advanced technical resources, rich law-based library and expertise from both institutions.
The partnership specifically focuses on developing well-equipped techno-legal experts for the growing demand in today’s world. The importance of Artificial Intelligence and Data Regulations will be focused by integrating state-of-the-art techniques and their legal counterpart. The collaboration will utilize NLIU Bhopal’s strong foundation in cyber lawunder the university’s Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre and IIT Indore’s technical proficiency.
As per the agreement, both institutions will establish a joint committee to oversee collaborative learning and ensure the smooth implementation of various initiatives.
