Professor (Dr.) Rajiv Khare joined the NLIU as Assistant Professor in the year 1999. He has designed, taught and improvised various courses viz. the Law of Torts, Property Law, Criminal Procedure, Environmental Law, International Environmental Law, Consumer Protection Law, Water Law, Natural Resources Law etc for undergraduate programme and the subjects viz. Principles of Constitutional Governance and Legal Process, Constitutional Principles Relating to Good Governance, Environment and Human Rights & Duties etc for the LL.M. Programme. In addition to his teaching interest in various subjects he introduced a course named Post Graduate Diploma in Environment: Law, Science and Technology sponsored by the University Grants Commission. He has been the Proctor of the University from 2006 to 2018 besides being member of the University Executive Council, Academic Council and the Finance Committee. He has been invited and delivered number of guest lectures at various prestigious Institutions viz. the National Judicial Academy, Madhya Pradesh Academy of Administration, EPCO Institute of Environmental Management”, HNLU Raipur and RMLNLU, Lucknow etc. He is the member of Executive Council of the DSNLU, Visakhapatnam (A.P.) and Editor of the National Journal of Comparative Law and the Editor, Indian Law Review, the Journal of the NLIU, Bhopal. He has presented a number of papers at various national and international seminars and conferences. He has published a book titled, Consumer Justice in India: Notes and Cases, and two monographs in addition to more than 20 research articles in various national and internal law journals. Prof. Khare has been the Chair Professor Consumer Protection & Welfare at the NLIU from 2011 to 2018 of the Chair established by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. He has organised a number of training programmes, seminars, conferences, debates, etc. He has also been associated in various projects assigned by the World Bank, M.P. State Biodiversity Board and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Civil Supplies Government of M.P. etc. He has been appointed the Dean, Post Graduate Studies of the NLIU.
